My name is Fenisi Afa and I currently live in Tonga. I am 37 years old and single. My parents have both passed away over 10 years ago and now relying on family, neighbors and friends to help me.

I was born with diabetic and four years ago, I was totally blind. I had no hope to see again as was advised by the doctors in tonga that there is nothing they can do to make me see again.

About 3 months ago I had the opportunity to visit New Zealand and my aunty suggested that we go and see a doctor. On our first visit I was advised by the eye specialist that they can operate on both eyes however they suggest to only operate on one eye first.

Even though I haven't gone through the surgery, I am excited as now I have hope.

The last four years has been a struggle especially with my parents passed away.

I am hoping to proceed with my surgery, this will help me see again and also get back to teaching in music.

All funds go toward surgery $14,895.00 for one eye only.
