Help me stay, there's no going back

Hi, my name is Kevin. I am 24 years old and have Fragile X syndrome with Autistic tendencies.

After facing many traumas in South Africa and after my Daddy died, my family decide to immigrate to NZ. We made the big move in November 2022. It’s been an amazing journey and I love it here!

Before leaving South Africa, we were warned that I might not be given residency because of my “invisible” disability. You only know that God made me a bit different when you start talking to me. My mom and sister have their residency and my now stepdad is a citizen.

However, NZ immigration still want to send me back to South Africa.

I have used all my savings so fat to pay for visas, assessments and lawyer fees but still have a long road of travel.

My mom is on minimum wage and my stepdad is currently unemployed, we desperately need to raise funds for the legal battle ahead. We have an amazing immigration attorney and he knows his stuff.

My traumas from South Africa include (but not all of them)

Physical abuse at the age of 3 at Kindi

Sexual abuse at the age of 9 by a school goer at my school

Home invasion at the age of 14, where they held a gun to me and my family and kept kicking me because they didn’t understand my anxiety

The last was my Daddy going to heaven

We don’t want to go back to this, I’m happy and relaxed here in New Zealand.

Please help me to stay here by helping me to raise the money needed to pay my lawyer.
