Studying in Papamoa to be a doula
Southland
Hey! My name is Hannah, and I’m currently fundraising to help get funds to go towards studying in Papamoa (NZ doula college). Any help or support is greatly appreciated.
I’ve struggled to figure out what exactly I want to do in society, I’ve jumped in and out of jobs and different studies for a few years now and have really taken an interest in becoming a doula!
A doula is not a health professional, they are a support partner and birthing coach during prenatal, birth, and post partum periods.
I have a 2 year old daughter, and while looking into the process of becoming a doula, I realised I personally would’ve benefited from having one myself as my prenatal, birth and postpartum were all very hard. Some extra support during this would’ve made the world of difference and I hope to provide the same for the mums of New Zealand!
The money will be spent on the course itself ($4400), flights from Invercargill to Tauranga, bus fares (Tauranga to Papamoa), and food during study.
