Help me study with the Yawanawa people of Brazil

I've received an opportunity to go and spend 10 days with the Yawanawa tribe in the sacred village of Acre Brazil.

The experience is an opportunity to remember indigenous ways & wisdom and integrate them into my way of life, including studying traditional chants, healing with traditional medicines & co-creating in direct connection with the local people. I know that this is about much more than music, and truly about reconnecting with the codes of the Earth & her people & bringing us all home to our roots & connection as a one people.

The cost of this trip is $7K NZD including flights (which are not cheap to Brazil from NZ!), which is over and above my basic income, and I am currently asking for financial support of $4K NZD to help me take up this once in a lifetime opportunity.

I feel in my heart that this level of direct contact & cultural immersion is so, so important to the process of decolonization, and I do not take it lightly that this opportunity has landed on my doorstep. I would be honoured to receive these teachings & bring them home to Aotearoa.

I am committed to bringing what I learn home to my community, clients and all those I serve, in whatever ways I am called.

So, I am vulnerably reaching out and asking for financial aid from friends, family & community to support me in taking up this opportunity.
