the nz govt just can't understand the law on torture and wants us to sign away all our rights before they will provide redress, the details of which are secret
Here are a few points the government does not understand and refuse to comply with
still waiting on a court date, but also low on funds to keep going sp if you could please share this to your freinds that would be fantastic justice shoud not be so expencive
Legal bills keep coming in in preparation for my appeal, and we are really struggling to keep going, so hoping for a court date soon before funds run out. The bills are shrinking but so are the fund its hard to survive on the pension and fight this battel so please share this with your friends. Thank you for the continued support
Money keeps going out to my lawyer for lodging my appeal and speaking to the UNCAT for me about our legal challenge and the nz govts refusal to follow the law around torture redress. We are hoping we get a court date before all the money runs out my wife has even gone back to work to help with these costs
Well, a new year and still waiting on a court date, costs keep coming in, and we are just staying ahead at the moment. Thanks for all the support and we are hoping a gap opens up and our case is fitted in before 2027 i will update you as soon as i know a date for the case to proceed the nz human rights commission have intervined in the case on my side saying the judge got it very wrong so with a panel of judges we should get one that understands international law in the mean time my wooden creation sales are picking up so providing much needed funds along with your donations to keep us going
Well, the legal bills keep coming, and without your kind donations, I would not be able to continue with my fight for justice. We are still about $10,000 short for the court of appeal fight but we have around a year to raise it, and with the help of some more good people, we will be able to do this
As the $30,000 was half the original case, I need to raise more for the appeal and possible Supreme Court, as the government digs in for the long haul
We must hold the state to account for the laws broken in the past and the ones they are breaking today by refusing to accept all forms of torture on children, to limit the redress they would have to provide
pushed out the end date to the maximum allowed, as still a long way from target, and as the case is now going to the court of appeal, then possibly the Supreme Court, to cost keeps rising, thanks to all who have given and thanks to all who have shared, we could not get this far without you all.
we have managed to lodge an appeal and slowly move forward with this case time frame is 18 months to two years before we can get back into court due to the backlog and nature of this case requiring a panel of judges not just a lone judge I thenk all of you who have donated and those who still do whenever they can aford it to date there is no responce from legal aid so we keep paying legal bills with your help so thankyou all again we will never give up justice must be done for so many that cant fight as well
You and your teams fighting spirit is always an inspiration Malcolm, KIA KAHA ❤ I have faith that through all your work and perseverance, indeed justice will come swift and fully. In memory, respect and honor of the many victims no longer here with us in physical form but are always spiritually fighting right beside us.

Well, the judge ruled against me. Three X human rights commissioners and one current human rights commissioner disagree with the judge, so we are going to the court of appeal and then onto the Supreme Court if necessary. I have to turn down the $150,000 offer, as to receive it, I would have had to sign away all my legal rights to fight it, and as it comes with no rehab, it's not something I was prepared to let them get away with, so we battle on until we win. Thanks for the help and support. It keeps me going
The fight for justice is very expensive and a struggle to afford
when under international law the govt are ment to cover this
But they have refused
We are now around 65,000 into this fight for justice. I will never give up this fight. It's so wrong that the perpetrator of these crimes against us has the unlimited funds from the taxpayers to fight us with
As this case has progressed and complications have arisen, the cost has skyrocketed, so we need much more funding to see this threw
Well, I have run out of funds for this latest account went past what I had budgeted for, so any ideas on raising more funds would be great
Well, we had our day in court, but the judge reserved her decision and my legal bill keeps climbing all my reserves have gone so we still need help to appeal if nessacery so please share my page around if you can as its not over yet and thank you for all your help in getting this far
We are very grateful to all who have shared this and given even two dollars, and we know how tough it is today to give to any cause
I will be having radiotherapy from the 28th of July until the 22nd of August, 3 days before my court case, so I may miss thanking people who donate. So thanks in advance, the court case is only stage one. We then need to have perpetrators held to account who covered this up and allowed the abuse to continue. You are all part of this fight for real justice to be done for the many victims, some of whom have passed because of this treatment. They must not be forgotten, so thank you. Again, for all you have done to help us
The money is almost all gone, and with 8 weeks to the court date for the first stage of proceedings, we need more donations to keep going. Any fundraising ideas appreciated
The work to hold the nz government to account goes on, so do the costs Thanks to your help, i can still, at this stage, continue to pursue justice
The NZ govt has now been served after we filed a case for judicial review on Monday, the 5th of May at 11 am coved by tvnz one and stuff tv3 news and most papers around the country so this case is moving forward in part thanks to your donations we are so gratful to all who have donated or just supported and shared thank you all so very much
We will be filing this case against the NZ Government on the 5th of May and will be holding a press conference after filing We can not allow the perpetrators of the crimes against us to set their own sentence
due to cost and other issues, we have decided to take the less expensive and faster road and will ask the court to get the NZ Govt to have a judicial review into the torture redress offered as it does not comply with international law nor does it give any rehabilitation for the harm done to us still the same goal in the end
