As many of you know my wife Giorgia has had a very difficult few weeks to say the last on Wednesday the 21st she had her first kidney Transplant and all went ok until we found out the fsgs was back that was devastating enough.
then Giorgia had some big complications and mjor symptoms that went unlistened to also on the 29th. she was rushed to emergency surgery for a another operation as a blood clot blocked the kidney stopping it. unfortunately Giorgia was treated horribly and was denied a doctor being told she wasn't sick enough.we believe this negligence caused this outcome and this could have resulted in no kidney or leg. now there is a major investigation within the Auckland hospital.
We hope that this journey gets easier.

Kidney Transplant Journey Update:12
Today Giorgia Newton awoke to Plasmafheresis staff setting up the machine she didn't know we were to start this again however as strong as she is she did it and im so proud its been a very hard few weeks and the courage and strength you show is amazing.
We are all so proud.

We are so very grateful for all the support we have received 🙏 Giorgia has has a very busy few day having many infusions and procedures that have been difficult and she has been feeling very unwell. We are having a small operation on her fistula tomorrow to make sure its in good shape should it need to be used. Then Wednesday morning her Dad Steve will be taken in and and hour or two later Giorgia will begin transplant approx 9am on the 21st. We have been very busy between the hospital and Pukekohe and reply as soon as we are able:)
Also a huge shout out to the Pukekohe Volunteer fire brigade for your support it means so much to us!!! Also to the beautiful 91 year old lady whi crocheted Giorgia the most beautiful blanket it is on her bed now.

Hey guys we are officially admitted and have started plasma apheresis today which is preparing Giorgias blood for transplant to commence Wednesday 21st June. We had an early start in good spirits!!!
All the best for tomorrow Gia and Steve you are both in our thoughts and prayers. You got this!
