Mitch has been selected to represent New Zealand in the Golf Masters in Macau. Please help us afford to send him there.
Great Barrier Island, Auckland
Mitch Brown has been invited to compete at the Macau Golf Masters, an international golf tournament for players with intellectual disabilities.
Held annually in Macau, this invitational event brings together around 55–60 golfers from around the world for a week of golf, learning, and friendship. The tournament celebrates inclusion and provides these athletes with the opportunity to compete internationally while building confidence and connection through golf.
At last year’s event, Mitch won the Gold Medal in his division. Mitch also teamed up with Team New Zealand Head of Delegation Matt Griffiths and two local sponsors to win the Macau Grand Masters Trophy.
The week also includes an Inclusion Conference, which promotes greater awareness and understanding of autism and intellectual disabilities, while highlighting the powerful role sport — particularly golf — can play in the lives of people living with these conditions.
Because Mitch is unable to travel independently, he will be supported by:
• Matt Griffiths – Head of Delegation, Team New Zealand
The total cost to travel to Macau and participate in the event is approximately $7,500 NZD.
Your support will help cover flights, accommodation, and essential travel expenses, ensuring Mitch can once again represent New Zealand and be part of this inspiring international event.
Any contribution, big or small, will help make this opportunity possible.
Thank you for supporting one of New Zealand’s outstanding All Abilities athletes.
I am Mitch's older sister, guardian and financial support. Unfortunately, I can't afford to send him away for these amazing opportunities.
