Help Moses come to Kuching!

We have selected Moses as a participant for our Future+ Kuching regenerative leadership programme but he needs the funds to travel from Papua New Guinea to Kuching!

Moses is the Founder and Director for Mauberema Ecotourism, Nature Conservation, Education, Research and Training Center (MENCERTC), an indigenous youth-led community-based organisation. He left his academic teaching job at the University of Goroka in 2021 and is currently working full-time as a volunteer with MENCERTC. MENCERTC program fosters community ecotourism and wildlife protection through conservation, education, research, and training and support sustainable community livelihood development. Established in September 2017, MENCERTC was awarded the 2022 UNDP Global Equator Prize Award and 2022 The Society of Conservation Biology Oceania Regional Distinguished Community Service Award.

We the organising team are deeply moved by Moses' love for his community and believe that he will have much to share and take home to his tribe by participating in our gathering in Kuching. In particular, human-nature reconnection, indigenous wisdom and community building are all core components of our programme that will align beautifully with Moses' life and his calling. We have awarded him a full scholarship but still need support for his travels!
