Help my Dad Beat Cancer!

$5,500 of $7,500 goal
Given by 88 generous donors in 8 weeks

This page is a fundraiser used to help my dad beat cancer.

Hawke's Bay, Hastings District

Kia Ora everyone! For those of you who don’t know, my dad (Dean Dawson) has been diagnosed with a rare aggressive skin cancer called acral melanoma. This was a huge shock to my whānau as it is a silent cancer and has advanced very quickly.

To stop the melanoma from spreading and hopefully prolong my dad’s life, he needs a $100,000 medication called Keytruda (pembrolizumab). Unfortunately, the medication is only funded when the cancer is stage four and my dad is stage three, therefore we must fund it.

I just know that this medication will financially and physically take a huge toll on my family, and I wanted to help where I can. I will start off by donating $50, please don’t feel pressured to donate and if you do, anything helps even a couple of dollars or just sharing this post!

Thank you!
