In January 2017 my father Willem Korb was diagnosed with stage 3 Colon cancer, he was rushed into hospital to have the tumor removed. After the surgery my father received 6 out of the 12 chemotherapy sessions, they had to stop with the treatment as it started affecting his nervous system.
After the treatment my father was in remission for 9 months, his tests came back and he was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, it has spread to his left renal artery, lymph nodes and liver. My father had to go through another 6 chemotherapy treatments due to no change in size of the tumors. They started my father on another type of chemotherapy for 12 treatments and this time it had made a difference.
On the 8th of June 2021 my father received his test result they do every three months to determine the cancer count, and he was rushed into hospital as the tumors and cyst appreared much larger. My father is currently in hospital receiving his fourth chemotherapy treatments and is in a lot of pain, they have done numerous test but unable to determine where the pain is coming from.
My father is unable to return to work during this time, any contribution will be much appreciated to help my father during this difficult time.
Trying to raise money for my father with stage 4 cancer and I would appreciate any support for my father during this difficult time.
Money raised will go to day-to-day living expenses, rent, travel to and from hospital (75km away from home), Medical Insurance covering 80% of hospital stay and none of the medication.
