Help my friend and her family get to safety out of Gaza
Mount Maunganui, Tauranga
Hello I am Reem. I live in Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip with my 4 children, my husband, my mother in law who is 80 and very sick and my brother and sister in law who are both suffer disabilities and mental health conditions. Here we face death every day with fear and anxiety. We don't want anything, we just want to live in peace. My husband as well as working in a supermarket, he was also in volunteer work and was the executive director of a youth centre. He was helping people and doing summer activities for children and in schools, universities and clubs for free. It continued for the first month of the war, but then it stopped due to the war and destruction. There is no longer any real life in Gaza. No treatment available for my mother in law and brother who suffers from epilepsy. Therefore, we decided to leave the Gaza Strip to a safer place. One person’s travel costs reaching approximately $5,000 USD so that you can cross from the Rafah border to the state of Egypt from war and destruction to safety. Please save my family from death. Please help us to live in peace.
I ask you, whoever cannot help with money, help spread this appeal. I have faith we will reach our goal through the compassion of the hearts of people around the world. I am talking to you while the sound of bombing does not subside. Please help us.
Reem
Please find it in your hearts to donate to my friend, even if it’s small, every bit counts. Sisters for life.

Reem and her family got to Egypt! 19 April 2024
Such beautiful news, Reem, her husband, her 4 children, her mother in law, sister in law and brother in law were all able to evacuate from Rafah. She had to collect extra money to get to her goal but she got there. He mihi maioha ki a koutou mō ngā tautoko katoa. This was a matter of life and death and they get to live. Huge mihi for the love. The photo was her boys first time with the lights on (electricity) in 6 months!
