Mum broke her thigh on Mother’s Day. She needs urgent surgery we can’t afford. I’m struggling alone in NZ. Please help us.

Hi everyone,
My name is Chester, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your kindness and support during this difficult time.
On Mother’s Day, while many were celebrating with their mums, I received an emergency call from my sibling in Malaysia. Our beloved mum had a terrible accident — she slipped and fell in the bathroom, breaking her thigh bone.
Unfortunately, my mum has no insurance coverage back home, and the cost for her operation and hospital care roughly been told MYR 30,000 (around NZD 10,000)— an amount my family simply doesn’t have.
I’m currently living and working in New Zealand, and to be honest, I’m barely managing to cover my own rental and groceries here. Being so far away and unable to be by her side in this moment is heartbreaking. Financially, it’s an impossible situation for me alone, so I’m turning to the kindness of friends, family, and compassionate strangers for help.
We’re doing everything we can as a family, but we still fall short. Any donation — big or small — would mean the world to us, and would go directly towards my mum’s surgery and hospital expenses. Your support would not only help her get back on her feet but would also ease the weight my family is carrying right now.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading our story. If you’re able, please donate and share this page with your friends and family. Your kindness and prayers mean more to us than words can express.
With love and gratitude,
Chester
All donations will go towards my mum’s surgery, hospital bills, medical care, and post-op recovery costs in Malaysia. Every dollar helps ease the financial burden on our family and gives her a chance to walk again.
I will post the payment receipt here.
