Raising funds to help my beloved dog Nacho get the surgery he needs to stay happy, healthy, and by my side.

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out with a heavy but hopeful heart to ask for help for my little dog, Nacho.

Nacho is a 1-year-old Chihuahua that isn’t just a pet to me—he’s my best friend, my comfort, and my little shadow. I rescued/adopted him late last year.

I’m currently studying to become a veterinary nurse, and helping animals has always been my passion. Every day I’m learning how to care for and advocate for animals like Nacho—but it’s incredibly hard being on the other side, needing help for your own.

Yesterday, Nacho had a vet appointment where we discovered he needs surgery, with estimated costs of $2200+ NZD.

As much as I wish I could cover this on my own, I’m currently living on a student allowance, and it’s just not something I can afford without help.

I feel incredibly vulnerable asking for this, but I’m determined to do everything I can to get Nacho the care he needs and deserves.

Use of funds

We discovered Nacho has a fractured canine tooth with the root still present, as well as a retained baby tooth that also needs to be removed. He’s also showing signs of patella luxation (knee issues) which needs further assessment while under anaesthetic.
