Please join us in supporting Naomi and her family as they navigate this incredibly challenging time.
Palmerston North, Manawatu-Wanganui
Naomi is a two-year-old from Palmerston North. She is a happy, active little girl with a big personality and a smile that brings joy to everyone around her.
Beginning of this year, Naomi was diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma cancer. It came as a complete shock, with no warning signs—just a sore tummy that led to the diagnosis.
Naomi’s treatment journey is expected to take around two years. Every day brings new challenges, as doctors and nurses work tirelessly to treat the cancer. It is a constant physical and emotional battle for Naomi and her family.
Naomi’s mum has had to stop working to become her full-time carer. Naomi’s dad works full-time while continuing to support the family and at times commutes to Auckland on his days off.
Naomi has already gone through multiple rounds of chemotherapy and continues to show incredible strength and resilience. She has to go through a big surgery, more chemotherapy, two bone marrow transplants, radiation and immunotherapy.
The family has had to make significant changes to their living arrangements, with Naomi’s grandparents in Palmerston North providing ongoing support and commuting to Auckland to support Naomi and her parents. Naomi’s brother has been incredibly brave, adjusting to time apart from his little sister and the changes at home.
Thank you for supporting Naomi’s family through her cancer journey. It means a lot and is really appreciated.
I am a good friend of Naomi's mum, and we go to the same church.
Funds raised will go towards helping Naomi’s family financially - living and travel expenses.
