Helping Nashe Marahwa take a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to represent New Zealand at an international U16 football tournament.
Wellington
Nashe Marahwa is a talented and dedicated young footballer who has been selected for the New Zealand Secondary Schools’ Under 16 National Representative Football Team — an extraordinary achievement earned through years of discipline, hard work, and passion for the game.
Nashe began playing football at just five years old with Tawa AFC in Wellington, quickly falling in love with the sport. Since then, his journey has taken him through elite development pathways including Scots College, the Wellington Phoenix Academy, and national secondary school competitions, where he has earned multiple awards including Most Valuable Player, Golden Boot, and national championship medals.
In 2026, Nashe has the opportunity to represent Aotearoa New Zealand at a prestigious international U16 football tournament in Malaysia, competing against top youth teams from across Asia. Only 18 players nationwide were selected for this squad, making this a rare and significant honour.
By supporting Nashe, you are helping a young Kiwi athlete represent his country on the international stage and take a vital step toward his dream of playing football at the highest level.
Any contribution, big or small, makes a meaningful difference, and we are deeply grateful for your support.
I’m a proud aunty to Nashe Marahwa, not a lifelong football fan, but absolutely inspired by his passion and dedication.
We are fundraising $9,500 to help cover the costs of flights, accommodation, meals, tournament fees, and team kit. Without this support, Nashe may be unable to take part in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
