Help kiwi changemaker Nate Wilbourne speak and attend at a youth leadership conference in Paris
Nelson / Tasman
Kia ora!! I have been given the privilege to have the opportunity to attend and speak at the Young Leaders Union in Paris from the 1st - 4th of November, a global platform bringing together youth advocates and emerging leaders from around the world. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me to create partnerships, cross-cultural innovation, and represent Aotearoa’s youth on an international stage.
At Paris YLU, I plan on presenting young people from across the motu, plus all the ideas and solutions I've engaged in through all the events and discussions I've been apart of. I have spent the last few years working on both a grassroot and national level in the youth, climate, and environmental spaces, helping young people across NZ and in my community become leaders and changemakers.
At the time of the conference, I will be studying in Freiburg, Germany on a full-scholarship, but the cost of travel, conference fees, and logistics add up, and that’s where your support matters.
I acknowedge all of the awful things going on in the world right now, from genocides to human rights violations, a climate crisis, and even the social inequalities in NZ, all of which you could (and I hope already do) support. But, I hope that you can also help support me to attend and speak at this incredible event. By donating, you are investing in my future, so that I can give back even more to my community and New Zealand.
