Help Nia & her family rebuild their lives after a devastating house fire

On April 9th, 2025, tragedy struck Nia & her family of eight, when an electrical fire completely destroyed their home in Hillsborough. In just minutes, everything they owned—cherished memories, clothes, furniture, and daily essentials—was gone. Thankfully, no-one was home at the time so everyone was safe, but they are now faced with the unimaginable task of starting over from nothing.

Right now, they are in urgent need of help to cover temporary housing, basic necessities, and begin the long journey of rebuilding their lives. This fund is to support Nia, her husband & six children to purchase household items & to save the funds to secure another rental property in Auckland.

The family are from Fiji and do not have access to the entitlements & resources which New Zealanders do.

They also did not have contents insurance.

More than anything, the family is in need of support—not just financially, but emotionally and spiritually. Your thoughts and prayers are deeply appreciated during this heartbreaking time.
