Help Nic Keep Fighting

  • A little update from me ❤️

      28 August 2026

    Hi Team,

I had my scan & appointment with my oncologist yesterday, overall the news was relatively positive.

The current SG chemo has been working internally, which is positive news. However, it isn’t working as effectively on the inflammatory tumour that is visible, which is why my oncology team feels it’s time to change my chemo.

Unfortunately, this chemo is also non-funded in New Zealand, so it comes with a significant financial cost. It’s not the road we ever imagined travelling, but we’re incredibly grateful there are still options available and that we can keep fighting.

The scan has given us hope for more precious time, and that hope means everything to us. I’m still here, fighting every step of the way.

We cannot thank everyone enough for your love, support, messages, donations & kindness. Every contribution helps us continue accessing the treatment I need, every message reminds us we are not doing this alone.

We know you have already donated & completely understand if you’re not in a position to give again. If you could please share our Givealittle page far & wide, we would be so grateful. Sharing with friends, family and wider networks could make a huge difference. You never know who might see it & be able to help.

Next Tuesday, I’ll be starting this next chapter.

One day at a time. One treatment at a time. And always, always hope.

Thank you for continuing to walk this journey with me and my family. We are so incredibly grateful.

Love Nic, Frank, Sophie and Summah

  • A little update on Nic and her journey

      7 August 2026

    Hi everyone,

We wanted to share a little update on Nic's journey.

Nic has now completed two full rounds of SG chemo and is about to begin her third. We're so pleased to say that she has been tolerating the treatment incredibly well, no surprises there as Nic is an incredibly strong lady and won't let anything beat her.

At this stage, we're not sure how well the treatment is working.

There is a scan coming up and when we have an update, we'll let everyone know.

For now, everything is looking positive. Most importantly, Nic is keeping well, making the most of each day, and cherishing precious time with her family and friends. These moments mean the world to everyone.

We continue to be so thankful for the incredible love, encouragement, and generosity you've shown. Your support has made such a difference and has helped make this treatment possible.

Thank you for continuing to keep Nic in your thoughts.

Today is a big day, Nic has started her SG chemotherapy treatment.

Nic is so grateful to every single one of you, she truly wouldn't be here without your incredible generosity and support. Her heart is bursting with gratitude for everyone who donated, shared our givealittle page, sent messages, or kept her in their thoughts.

Because of you, this treatment is now possible and today marks the beginning of a new chapter. We are all hoping and praying this gives Nic the positive outcome she so deserves.

Please keep your fingers crossed and continue to keep her in your thoughts.

Thank you for giving Nic hope.

  • Grateful Beyond Words

      8 May 2026

Hi team, apologies for the delay in giving an update — the last couple of weeks have been such a blur with so much information and so many appointments.

Honestly, I am so incredibly humbled and grateful for every single one of you who has donated, shared, messaged, checked in, and supported us. There truly are no words that can fully express the gratitude, love, and kindness you have shown me and my family. It has been absolutely incredible, and from the bottom of our hearts, we thank you all, so very very much.

I’ve had a lot of appointments lately, and at the moment we are continuing with the chemo treatment I’m currently on, as we are seeing slight improvement with the inflammatory breast cancer. As we know, this cancer is very aggressive, so we are monitoring everything closely day by day. If we start seeing signs that this treatment is no longer working, we will move onto the SG drug, which unfortunately is so very expensive here in NZ.

In between treatments, I’m heading to Australia for a little holiday to make some very special memories with Frankie and the girls. While I’m there, I’m also hoping to get into the Peter MacCallum Hospital for a second opinion and to see if there are any clinical trials I may be eligible for.

We will continue to keep you all updated. Again, from Frankie, myself, and my girls — thank you all so much. We appreciate every bit of love and support more than words can express ❤️
