We need your help to fund some of the costs of sending 12 people to the World Champs in Kingston Canada!
Nationwide
The 2019 Blind Fleet Racing World Championships is to be hosted by Kingston Yacht Club from the 1 - 8th September 2019. Blind Sailing NZ hopes to send a NZ Team representing all three sight gradings of B1, B2, B3. Your support will help us win back our World title.
We are a small registered charity with a long history of success becoming multiple World Champions in both Blind Fleet and Match Racing. We are looking for your help to again win the Fleet Racing World title and send 3 teams out to Canada.
The charity looks to provide visual impaired and blind people with their first taste of sailing while also providing a pathway to train to represent their country. All this is not possible without our sighted volunteers that train and race beside us.
Please take a look at our facebook page and read our storys. We look to change lives by giving people FREEDOM ON THE WATER, leaving their white stick or guide dog ashore and giving them the chance to sail for recreation or sport using feel and communication from their team.
Blind Sailing New Zealand is a Not for Profit that give blind and visually impaired people of New Zealand the chance to try out and enjoy sailing on waters throughout New Zealand in a competitive and non competitive capacity.
Our Mission: To maximise opportunities for blind and vision impaired persons to enjoy sailing as a sport or recreation.
Your support would go towards the following:
