The Blind Sailing International Championships are being held in Houston, Texas, September 2017. The six elite blind and visually impaired sailors selected are ready to bring the prestigious Squadron Cup home to NZ. Support us and be a part of the sailing heritage we are all proud of!!
Blind Sailing NZ will be sending a team of 6 blind or vision impaired sailors and 6 fully sighted sailors to Houston, entering two sailors into each of three categories, B1 B2 and B3. All members of the team are passionate amateur yachties from around the country and are thrilled to be selected to represent New Zealand at the top level of Blind Sailing, competing against highly skilled sailors from around the globe. Our sailors have raced in six world events taking 10 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze medals. Our minds are set - the Squadron Cup is coming back to New Zealand.
Your support is great both for New Zealand and its reputation in producing highly developed sporting people. We all know our rich history in prestigious yachting events, Help us make New Zealand proud and get our Blind Sailors to Houston. Donations received will be used to cover travel, accommodation, entry fees and related regatta fees.
