We’re fundraising to get 15 children to this very special one-off event
Auckland
The children of Class Five at Titirangi Rudolf Steiner School are currently in training.
In November 2018, they’ll be attending a week-long camp in Rotorua to participate in the annual North Island Steiner School Greek Olympic Games.
During the camp, each of them will partake in the five events of the ancient pentathlon (running, javelin, discus throwing, long jump and wrestling) and a range of activities and experiences alongside Class Fives from around the country.
The Olympics Camp is the absolute highlight of the Class Five curriculum and is an experience every Class Five child cherishes forever.
The Olympics Camp represents the culmination of the ancient civilisation studies the children have done throughout the year. Re-enacting traditional sports, wearing togas and wreaths, and participating in a traditional Olympic ceremony all help the children take a step back in time to Ancient Greece.
But we need help to get them there!
While they’re training, we’re fundraising.
A co-educational, non-denominational and independent education for children aged birth to eighteen (Playgroup to High School) based on the educational philosophy of Rudolf Steiner.
The cost per child to attend is approx. $250 and we have 15 children to get there.
We’re asking for help to raise up to $4,000 so our children and parent helpers can attend.
Whatever help you can give will help our children get to the Greek Olympics in November.
Thank you so much for your support – every little bit counts to us!
