Help our small Kyokushin karate dojo raise funds toward our contribution for a rare national seminar with Kancho Matsui and Shihan Gorai.
Auckland
Osu,
My name is Shingo, and I help run West Auckland Kyokushin as the dojo operator. I teach and run the classes, look after the day-to-day admin, communicate with students and families, and help organise dojo activities.
We are a small Kyokushin karate dojo with a humble number of students, training together each week because we genuinely love what we do.
In September 2026, New Zealand will host a rare national seminar with Kancho Matsui, President of IKO1, and Shihan Gorai, a 7th Dan master and highly respected international teacher. For many karate students in New Zealand, this may be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to train directly under leaders of this level.
As one of the associated dojos, we have been asked to contribute toward the cost of making this event possible. Because our dojo does not have spare funds set aside, this would otherwise need to be paid personally by those running and supporting the dojo.
We are creating this page to ask our community, friends, families, and supporters for help.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help our dojo meet its contribution and allow our students to be part of something truly special — an opportunity to learn, grow, and connect with the wider Kyokushin family.
Thank you for supporting our dojo and helping us take part in this special event.
Osu.
Funds will go toward our dojo’s contribution to help cover the cost of hosting the Kancho Matsui and Shihan Gorai Kyokushin seminar in Auckland.
