We are stoked!! 4th Overall Open class!!

Final results for the 2022 Seaperch Aqubot International Championships held at University of Maryland have been announced.

    Our results for Neptune 3D:

To say were happy is an understatement, our goal was top 5 in middle school closed grade - to be in the open grade competing against the best Aquabot high school students in USA and around the world at age 12 and come 4th overall is just beyond words.

We flew AKLD - SYD-San Francisco -Washington DC and drove to University of Maryland. 3am start and at hotel after 34hrs of travelling.

We actually enjoyed the travelling but were happy to stop for a bit. We picked up a new battery (replacing one taken at customs) and spend a good deal of time in pool fine tuning our Aquabot and driving skills. We still found some time to enjoy a cool little museum which is actually the longest continually operating airport that the Wright brothers tested planes at. (College Park Aviation Museum) followed by Pizza.

Thank you again for all the donations and a reminder we are posting photos and other details over on facebook. https://www.facebook.com/Neptune3DNZ

Dear Alex and Ezra, I am so proud of you! Not only for your fantastic achievement but also for your humility and the fact that you didn't neglect to do your other school work. I don't know where Alex found time to practice his music! May this experience shape your future challenges!

A big hug from me, Mrs Ina-Marie' Nel

This weekend we met with our coach Gareth and discussed a few things we need to adapt/fix on our Aquabot. As the course and required practical tests for the international competition is different than the recent New Zealand Nationals we need to test and design a few 3 adaptions our Aquabot.

Here is one of our hook designs (not finished designs as we need to keep a few things secret) that we are working on to print then test tomorrow.

Thank you all for the support so far - We are so amazed and can't wait to do our best to represent New Zealand in USA.
