Raise funds for the six kids to travel from Hastings to Christchurch to visit their mummy/aunty

Hawke's Bay

Background

My sister had an accident about 2 months ago while bathing the two babies, she thought it was just a back sprain and carried on her daily chores and couldn’t shake the pain so she had to go to the doctors. It got to a point where she started losing feeling in her leg. She got admitted to hospital where they trialed her on steroids and pain relief 4 days later they rushed her in for an emergency spinal surgery where they removed 2 discs from her lower back. The doctors diagnosed her with Cauda Equina Syndrome and referred her down to Burwood Spinal unit in Christchurch. The thought of being away from her kids made things a lot worse but she knew that it was what was needed to get better and to get home to them. While in Christchurch she was homesick (being away from the kids/ restricted visiting hours for her one carer/minimal support from staff), she was in a lot of pain and completely out of her comfort zone. The team in Christchurch found that a 3rd disc was pressing on a nerve and she was rushed in for a second emergency spinal surgery. We are hoping that she will start improving so that she can come home to all of us.

Right now my mum and sister in law are looking after the kids and we all can’t thank them enough for trying to raise these gorgeous babies while our big sissy is going through all of this. We would like to fund raise some money for all of the kids to go down to Burwood for a visit as we believe it will definitely be a motivator for our sister to get better and a chance for the kids to see their Mum.

The way you have raised these kids to be strong, independent beautiful souls and how you have carried on your studies in nursing throughout this whole ideal is nothing short of inspirational.

We love you sis. You can do this. You will do this. We can do this. We will do this.

Open Goal  27 May 2020

Hi everyone,

Thank you all for the continued support we have decided to open the goal as we don't actually know the what the total costs will be for the trip I just picked a number and went with it.

With an open goal we can receive more support and minimize or eliminate the excess Qamille will have to pay for the kids to take the trip, which will be amazing!

Thank-you all for the support and lovely messages :)

❤❤❤
