Help Paige Find Her Voice

Kia ora friends, whānau, and kind-hearted strangers,

We’d love to introduce you to our daughter, Paige —a bright, bubbly, chatty girl who brings joy to everyone she meets. Paige was born with Down Syndrome, and while she’s faced some developmental delays, her enthusiasm for connecting with people never stops.

One of the biggest challenges has been helping Paige develop her speech and language skills. After searching for two years, due to their few number in NZ, we were finally able to find a Speech Language Therapist (SLT).

SLT helps Paige focus on the clarity of her speech as well as language processing skills. In just the past year, the progress she’s made has been amazing.

We’re lucky to receive a small amount of annual support through the charity Upside Downs, which covers ~8 sessions a year. But with each session costing $160, we’re only just scratching the surface of what Paige needs. We top up with what we can, but our Goal would be to get her at least 20 Sessions a Year.

All funds raised would go towards Paige's SLT sessions and allow her SLT to visit every second week at school. This regular, consistent support would make a massive difference in Paige’s development, confidence, and ability to engage with the world.
