Hi There! I’m Paola, I emigrated alone to New Zealand six years ago with a heart full of hope and the dream of building a better, safe, and stable life.

I have worked hard since I arrived, facing many challenges on my own —the loneliness, the language barrier, health issues, grief, and adapting to a new culture. But every step, no matter how difficult, has brought me closer to the dream of putting down roots here. NZ has become my home, a place where I’ve met incredible people, learned new ways of seeing life where I’ve started to grow, and build a better future.

Today, I find myself at a crucial moment: I need to raise funds to apply for the AEWV (Accredited Employer Work Visa) in order to stay legally in the country while I complete the required work experience to apply for the SMC (Skilled Migrant Category) Visa and continue the path that I’ve built with so much effort. These processes, translations, imm. medicals, advisors, and visas are costly, and despite working and saving constantly, I’m unable to cover the full amount on my own.
