Help Peta Beat the Brain Drain
Peta is my friend. I taught her son at primary school and hopefully, her daughter will be in my class one day too. Please help me help her!Auckland
Peta has terminal brain cancer. She is 43 years old, has a loving partner and two children.
At the beginning of 2019, everything was normal. Peta was preparing to send her boy off to intermediate, she had a new job and life was good.
One day, she was driving home with the kids in the car. She felt dizzy and passed out. Fortunately, her children were fine. The car was not and neither was Peta.
Tests revealed a growth in her brain and very quickly following this, she was told it was cancer. Treatment began and Peta was brave, positive, and determined to beat the brain drain.
Covid happened. Life got really tough for everyone but was extremely hard for people with low immunity.
Two months ago, Peta had some bad news. Medical professionals are not able to contain the cancer as they had first expected. She currently on results following the last round of radiation.
Peta and her family need our help. They need to convert their garage and complete maintenance around the house. This will help to remove a lot of the day to day stress of living with brain cancer and also help to provide a safe living space for her growing children.
