We are overjoyed to share the most wonderful news — Pia is now cancer-free. The combination of chemotherapy and Keytruda immunotherapy (which you funded!) have worked their magic and Pia has achieved something called a "Pathological Complete Response" - simply put, this means that there was no cancer detected after surgery.
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to every one of you who donated, sent messages of support, or simply held Pia in your thoughts. Your kindness and generosity have been deeply felt. Your donations have helped cover the Keytruda immunotherapy treatment and will continue to support Pia and her whānau as she focuses on healing in the coming weeks and months.
We have a final movie fundraiser this Saturday '19th' (more info at the link below) and we will then be closing this amazing page down, as we reached our target and Pia will no longer be having immunotherapy.

Pia has made it through her operation at North Shore Hospital and is now recovering at home with her family. While it's a relief to have the surgery behind her, this remains a challenging time as she waits for her results and navigates daily life during recovery.
We're continuing to support Pia through this fundraising page, as the journey through Triple Negative Breast Cancer is a marathon, not a sprint. Your generosity means so much and is helping her focus on healing.

A petition is about to close that is asking for the Government to fund Keytruda-for Triple Negative Breast Cancer - the same drug that Pia needs today. This would make such a difference.

Pia is getting through her treatment. It’s not easy and every day is a challenge. But knowing she has this amazing network of friends and whanau makes all the difference.

Pia is now halfway through her 6 months of chemotherapy (immunotherapy will be administered all year). The side effects are pretty rough (she has had to have 2 blood transfusions already) but she is soldiering on knowing it will all be worth it. 💪💪
Although she hasn't had the energy to respond personally to each of you, Pia would like you to know how deeply grateful and blown away she is by your generosity and warm wishes.
AND - we have reached $20k which is awesome - Thank You to you all, it means so much. The girls are also doing well through this tough time, still smiling, dancing and going to the dairy on their bikes. So let's keep the love and support flowing towards Pia, Rob, Lillie & Izzy 🧡🧡
We still have more to do, more to raise.. but let's keep on - movie nights will be planned, and more fun to be had as we help Pia get through this for her girls. Thank you, thank you. 🙏🧡
