The sweetest pony ever, Pixi, needs urgent dental surgery to live out her golden years without pain and further tooth decay.

Our sweet miniature pony, Pixi, needs life-changing dental surgery so she can continue living her happy, healthy life here at Hidden Valley Farm Sanctuary in Tasman NZ.
Pixi’s dental issue, includes over-crowding and offset chewing due to poor breeding decisions. It means she can’t properly chew her food; instead, it gets trapped between her gums in a painful pocket in her mouth, leaving her without the full nutrients she needs to thrive. Sadly, this problem started long before she came to Hidden Valley Farm Sanctuary, her forever home with us, but as she’s gotten older, it’s become an increasing concern on her annual dentist visits. The only way forward now is to be operated on by Town and Country Vets (Richmond).
Pixi is the gentlest soul, a real cutie with the friendliest nature. She truly deserves to be free from her discomfort, to be able to enjoy her meals, and to get all the nourishment her body needs.
With your help, we can give Pixi the surgery she needs and ensure she can live her golden years in comfort, surrounded by love from her carers and visitors to the sanctuary. Every donation, no matter the size, will bring us closer to achiving our goal.

Pixi is able to smile again - more funds needed 10 November 2025
With heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to Pixi’s fundraising, we’re pleased to share that she has now received her much-needed dental care at Town & Country Vets in Tasman. Pixi had two troublesome teeth removed, and while a third tooth may stabilise on its own, it will be reassessed in six months.
We didn’t reach our full target, so we will keep this page open a little longer in the hope of achieving it with the continued kindness of our supporters.
Pixi was incredibly brave for such a tiny pony, and her 2-year-old daughter, Nellie, stayed by her side throughout the entire experience.
We’ll be sharing a fuller update soon, but for now, this is a quick message of gratitude and reassurance. If anyone is able to help us reach the remaining goal, it would mean the world. Thank you again for your generosity and support.
