Help 'PK' to hear again!

    PK is enjoying his enhanced hearing and thanks everyone who supported him through donations. He wants you to know that your support meant a lot on a personal level as well. He's enjoying hearing the birdsong around our valley including the moreporks at night, as well as conversations and of course his beloved music. (Although, to be fair , he opted for safety-first earplugs rather than the hearing aids when we attended the Pixies epic concert in Auckland not long before the lockdown!). Thanks again from Pk / Amritadaka and Andrea / Ujjalamati (who notices that she is now the one saying "What was that?" " Pardon"? "Say again", ah well!)

  • Hearing Aid Test # 2, all going well!

    Thanks everyone, letting you know that the hearing aids are going well. PK has not yet forgotten to pop them out when swimming! He is wearing them regularly, they are natty rechargeable ones. They are making a big difference in his work and play! Thanks again for your support.

  • Hearing aids fitted...

    PK has had his hearing aids fitted today, and will be getting them checked and adjusted in a couple of weeks. He wants to let everyone know how grateful he is, and is already rediscovering, birdsong, the breeze, feeling more confident in conversations and hearing more of his beloved music... thanks so much. we have managed to cover most of the cost with our savings, but do appreciate any and all support received. See if you can spot the hearing aid in the picture...

  • Happy New Hear!

    Wishing everyone a Happy New Hear! PK thanks everyone for your generosity. The trial hearing aids will be ready by 16th January, so will keep you posted how they work out. The recommended ones for PK's particular hearing loss are a bit more than expected, so we are still fundraising, if you know anyone who might like to help... Have a marvellous 2020!

  • Hear-ey Xmas and a Healthy New Year everyone!

    Thanks for the continuing donations, PK had another hearing appointment last week, and will be trying out some hearing aid options in the New Year ... looking forward to rediscovering ranges of sound that have been long lost. Thanks everyone for your support, it's a beautiful thing.
