Help Protect Our Horses – Support Kapiti Equestrian & Vaulting Centre’s Future

Meet Zeek.

He is one of the incredible horses at Kapiti Equestrian & Vaulting Centre. He is a teacher, teammate, and friend to many in our community, helping therapeutic riders, vaulters, and beginners every week.

Right now, Zeek is injured and needs time to rest & recover.

When one horse cannot work, the workload falls on our other horses. We are committed to protecting their welfare and ensuring they are never asked to do more than is fair.

Our horses are not just animals we work with—they are our partners, teachers, and a vital part of our community.

That is why we are fundraising for a mechanical horse.

A mechanical horse won't replace the real thing, but it will help reduce pressure on our horses by allowing riders and vaulters to practice skills, improve technique, and build confidence without extra strain.

This will benefit our entire club, including 100+ members, vaulters, therapeutic riders and our 10 wonderful horses.

Our top vaulting team is preparing to represent New Zealand at the FEI World Championships next year, a mechanical horse would be a game-changer, helping our athletes train at the highest level while protecting the horses that make their dream possible. But above all, we want to protect the horses who make these dreams possible.

Our horses spend their lives looking after us. Now we want to look after them.
