Help Raise Funds for Beau's Life-Saving Surgery
Auckland
Our sweet boy Beau is in need of emergency surgery for intervertebral disc disease (IDD).
Beau’s ability to walk and have control over his limbs has deteriorated significantly, he is sadly, on the verge of paralysis. Because of this, our beloved baby Beau is in need of emergency surgery and rehabilitation treatment.
Unfortunately, insurance will not cover a majority of the expenses due to the need for specialist services and surgeons from Veterinary Specialists Aotearoa (VSA).
It is estimated that costs for surgery and immediate rehabilitation care will be between $13,000 and $19,000. Although this is a great financial responsibility, our family cannot let Beau go without giving him a fighting chance.
We are seeking donations that will go directly towards Beau’s veterinary bills (particularly surgery). Our goal, for now, is $15,000, however, once a finalised invoice is available for Beau’s treatments, this description will be edited for full transparency. Accordingly, the fund goal will be amended to reflect the invoice and confirmed bills.*
Please help us give Beau a fighting chance. He is the best thing that has happened to our little whānau.
If you have the capacity and ability to donate to Beau’s cause, we will be eternally grateful.
Jai Sri Hanuman,
The Singh Whānau
*VSA have sent a further estimated invoice of $17,000 - our goal has been amended accordingly.
These funds will go directly towards Beau's surgery costs. Once the final invoice and costs have been finalised they will be posted here. For now, the estimation of costs is from $13,000 to $19,000. Our current goal is $17,000.
Beau's Recovery and Rehabilitation 8 May 2023
Hello wonderful people!
Firstly, we would like to thank everyone who has shared Beau's page and donated so far. It means more than you all can imagine to our family and is really helping lighten a very heavy load.
Our sweet boy has been in hospital for 8 days now, and is 7 days post surgery. He has gained some strength in his back legs but is unable to stand or walk yet. Beau's surgeons have notified us that his recovery will unfortunately be a very slow one. This is due to him being in full paralysis because of his invertebrate disc degeneration disease.
What this means for Beau is a slow and long term of rehabilitative care. Some care is only provided by the specialist vets at VSA.
Due to these developments, we have been told our vet bills will be increasing and moving past the $20,000 mark. We are kindly requesting our donors and supporters to please share Beau's page in an effort to get the momentum going regarding donations. Anything and everything will help. Whether it is sharing Beau's page with friends and family, donating $5 or spreading the word around your social media. A little can go a very long way.
Our family is greatly appreciative of the support we have recieved so far. Thank you to everyone for your well wishes, kind words, donations and support.
We hope to have Beau home soon.
