Fundraising to help with the costs of Kirsty's European campaign to train and race in Belgium before heading to the World Champs
Rangiora, Canterbury
We are raising money to help Kirsty race in Europe and compete in the Junior World Cycling Championships in Switzerland in late September. She has been selected as one of four NZ U19W riders to race in the road race and one of two to ride the time trial.
Kirsty and her road cycling team, Black Magic Women pb Tineli will be travelling to Belgium in August to train and race in the weeks leading up to the UCI World Championships in Zurich.
Kirsty started racing road bikes at the age of 8 in triathlons and duathlons and moved to purely road and track cycling at the age of 12. She is the current NZ U19 road race and time trial champion and is the only New Zealander to date to achieve both national titles in U15, U17 and now U19. In April 2024 she raced at the Oceania Road Cycling Championships in Brisbane and came home with two silver medals.
She is also the NZ Track Cycling Points Race champion the last three years and holds numerous national titles from U15 through to U19 in both road and track cycling and won silver last year in the NZ cyclocross championships in her first year racing.
I am very grateful for any help you can give towards the cost of this trip which is entirely self funded.
Thank-you.
Kirsty is my amazing daughter
