Give a little, a little goes a long way for The Kapiti Kiwi's Network Group to live a fully lived life.
Wellington
The Kapiti Kiwis Network group, is a non-profit organisation consisting of 9 members and their Facilitator. The Everyday Network provide peer to peer support, growth, learning, independence, being including in the community, and reaching their goals.
The members have disabilities, they are under a independent living agency.
The Kapiti Kiwis Network group, was started 6 years ago to help the members live a fully lived life, where they as a whole can explore opportunities in life, and achieve their dreams: by raising funds for events outings, and camps.
The members struggle with various issues: cost of living, feeling isolated, mental health issues.
The members would like to go on a 3 night health and wellness camp in Summer time, to learn new skills, work together as a team, work along side their peers, overcome fears, building relationships in the community and wider community, and learn new coping mechanisms.
This camp with 9 members, 1 Facilitator and Support work would cost a lot of money, which the group does not have due to the cost of living, funding freeze etc.
Putting into consideration of cost including travel, accommodation at site, food, activities, guest speaker. The members are looking to raise $4500 to cover the cost.
Any donations would be grateful, to make their dream goal come true.
The money raised will be spent on travel, accommodation, food, guest speaker and activities.
