Help raise money to fight Amie's battle with cancer

Amie has poured her heart and soul into her job, our company and every single person within this business for nearly 10 years. Amie not only knows every name of every person in the office, she knows all of our family members and most of what’s going on in our lives. She has given so much and now is our chance to give a little back.

Amie’s world was turned upside down when she was diagnosed with a very rare form of throat (trachea) cancer after seeing the doctor for an unusual cough. Not only has Amie been bravely fighting this aggressive form of cancer, she has also been fighting her insurance company that declined her claims on a technicality. This has been an absolute travesty, leaving Amie and her family under significant financial strain. Amie has lost her battle with her insurance company, and on the day of our year end break-up lunch was told she has just 3 – 12 months to live.

Last Friday Amie at last had some slightly more positive news. The cancer in Amie’s throat and lungs has not grown or spread any further at this stage, which was unexpected. Her Oncologist has now offered an alternative treatment with a 20% success rate. Unfortunately the treatment is not government funded and costs approximately $40,000.

This fundraiser is aimed at raising $40,000 to fund the treatment Amie so deserves. Beyond that we would like to help relieve the financial pressure that these unimaginable circumstances have inflicted on this beautiful family, and for Amie to fulfil some of her life wishes with the support of our community.
