Help Raph, a dedicated Kāpiti Coast swimmer, get to the World Aquatics Masters Champs in Singapore. Support a local athlete’s journey!

Kia ora!
I’m Raphael — or just Raph if you’re from around here. I'm a Brazilian-born, Kiwi-by-heart (and citizenship) competitive Open and Masters swimmer living in Waikanae on the beautiful Kāpiti Coast, training with the Ōtaki Titans at Coastlands Aquatic Centre.
This August, I’ll be heading to Singapore to compete in my third World Aquatics Masters Championships — and I’m asking for your support to help get me there.
I recently returned from the World Master Games in Taiwan (May 2025), where I proudly brought home six medals — including five golds and one bronze. That momentum is pushing me to aim even higher in Singapore.
After stepping away from swimming in 2006, I reignited my competitive journey in 2021. Since then, I’ve broken two New Zealand records, raced internationally, and trained daily to represent our community on the world stage.
Every donation — no matter the size — gets me one step closer to the blocks in Singapore. If you've seen me training at Coastlands or followed my journey online, you know how much this means to me.
This journey is entirely self-funded, and your support will help cover:

Every dollar counts. Whether you're from the Kāpiti Coast, a fellow swimmer, or someone who just believes in backing Kiwi athletes, thank you for helping me!
