Help rebuild Paka & Nans house after Cyclone Gabrielle ripped through it.

On behalf of my husband Josh this page has been created to help his Mum rebuild the house. This is their story:
Our Dad Eric Zinsli Raharuhi passed away suddenly early hours of Saturday morning on the 11th February in Whāngarei hospital. We bought him to his homestead in Maitai Bay just before Cyclone Gabrielle hit. While our whānau were mourning the loss of our Chief on Sunday the 12th the cyclone ripped through the bay and lifted the roof off of Mum and Dads home. A double hit within 24hours. The storm has created mass destruction to the house and water damage to everything. Whānau managed to save a few things but we know it will need to be rebuilt and replace furniture. We are asking for help towards rebuilding the house for Mum as unfortunately they did not have insurance. All funds contributed will go towards the rebuild.
Use of funds
All monies will go towards rebuilding the house starting with the roof, then floors, walls and furniture.

Thank you to everyone that has donated to our cause. With alot of time effort and more resources the house is nearly finished from the ground up almost. There was more damage than first expected but with help from many people work is nearly complete. We will update on completion of the whare hopefully next weekend! Thank you all again for your contributions!!!
