Help Relocate Ōrākei Playday

We are Playday! A Non-profit community-based early learning centre in the heart of Orakei, cherished for 37 years.

For generations, Playday has been a home away from home for our children, grandchildren, and families. Our teaching staff have welcomed the children of past Tamariki. Nestled within the Orakei Presbyterian Church, we’ve provided a nurturing space filled with shared memories and experiences, helping countless children, including our own family members, grow and thrive.

We now face a significant challenge, one that is heavily impacted by time. We have been advised that the Church, Land and Building that house our centre has decided to sell, which means we must relocate. Fortunately – we have a place to go! We are incredibly grateful that Orakei Baptist Church just 700m from our current premises has opened its doors to us, offering a permanent new space for our centre.

While this opportunity to move into a space we can secure for Playday future is a blessing, the unexpected costs associated with relocating so quickly are a heavy burden for our small non-profit and our community who rely on us to be operational while this move takes place. By raising funds together, we can ensure Playday continues to serve and nurture those we love come the New Year.
