Help Rescue & Desex Hunterville's Homeless Cats!

Hunterville, Manawatu-Wanganui

When my parents moved onto their Hunterville property, a cat popped its head out of the woodpile and my kindhearted mum decided to tame it with food and plenty of patience. However, before long the cat population exploded. For years, my amazing mum, Carla, has been quietly rescuing, feeding, desexing and taming feral kittens and cats, desperate to give them a chance at life.

She does this out of love, with no funding—just her pension. But with desexing vet bills, food costs, and ongoing care, she can’t do it alone anymore. That’s why we’re asking for your help. Every dollar helps feed, desex, and care for these vulnerable cats.

Why This Matters:

Feral cats don’t choose to be homeless. Many are born in the bush, under barns, or are dumped on my parents' property. Without intervention, they breed rapidly, leading to suffering, disease, and even more strays. Desexing and caring for them is the most humane way to break this cycle.

Where Your Donation Goes:

🐱 $40 feeds a rescued cat for a month

🐱 $100 desexes a stray cat, preventing more suffering

🐱 $150 provides emergency vet care for injured or sick cats

Every dollar helps my mum to continue this mission and she is currently feeding 30 cats.
