Helping Resonate Community Festival Christchurch recover from storm damage and grow stronger for future events.
Christchurch, Canterbury
Resonate Community Festival was created to bring people together in Christchurch to celebrate connection, wellbeing, music, workshops, and community spirit. Our first festival took place on 23–25 January 2026 at Orton Bradley Park, and while the energy and support were beautiful, we were met with several days of rain and strong winds.
Unfortunately, the severe weather meant many people couldn’t attend, some of our gazebos were damaged, and sound equipment was affected. As a new, community-run festival, we had planned to use ticket income to invest in strong, weather-safe event tents — but with the weather losses, we weren’t able to do this.
We are now raising funds to purchase professional, wind-resistant event tents and replace essential equipment so future festivals can be safe, welcoming, and protected from harsh conditions. These structures will allow workshops, performances, and community spaces to continue no matter the weather.
Every contribution, big or small, helps us grow stronger and keep Resonate Festival alive for the community. Thank you for supporting a grassroots event built with love, passion, and connection.
All donations go towards helping to replace storm-damaged equipment and invest in strong event tents so future community festivals can run safely in all weather.
