Help Restore My Home: Fix Black mould on All External Walls for a Healthier, Safer Space!
Help our family fix black mold in our home, improving health and safety for only son with severe respiratory conditions.

Hi, I've lived in my home for 15 years, and during this time, my family has battled black mould . My eldest son has asthma, and my youngest, born with a heart condition, has struggled with severe respiratory issues. Despite multiple trips to Starship Children's Hospital, countless treatments, and a recent diagnosis of Tracheomalacia, Tracheobronchomalacia and allergies, his health remains fragile.
We've qualified for the Healthy Homes grant and tried everything—insulation, double glazing, and natural remedies—but nothing has solved the mould problem. Electrical work recently revealed that our walls lack any building paper and insulation. A year ago, I had back surgery, making it impossible to maintain the walls any longer. We're at a breaking point and need your help to fix this once and for all.

Use of funds
The money will go towards relining all exterior walls including Building materials, Insulation, gib stopping, paint and wallpaper, labour charges. If we are unable to meet the target the bedrooms will take priority beginning with the worst affected room.

After carefully reviewing the full scope of our project, we’ve realised there are additional costs we hadn’t anticipated. As a result, we’ve increased our fundraising goal from $15,000 to $25,000.
