She sold her car for one last goodbye

**Update to this story, my mom had to sell her car to get to Canada and after a harrowing journey losing 3 days to planes being cancelled and unexpected hotel stays she doesn't have enough for another car.**

My mom (67) (who's lived in NZ for 55 years) has the chance to make a final, precious journey to British Columbia to be with her own mother (my 87 year old gramma) who is now bedridden and nearing the end of her life. She also has dementia, but when my mom and I sing to her over Skype her eyes light up, and she smiles and she utters "beautiful". This visit may be the last opportunity for my mom to hold my grammas hands, sing to her and share the kind of quiet moments that become treasured memories.

For years, my aunty has lovingly cared for my gramma through every stage of her decline. Having my mom there would also be an incredible source of emotional support and relief for my aunty.

Unfortunately, my mom has no savings to make this trip possible. The cost of travel, including flights and express passport renewal cost, comes to approximately $3,700 far beyond what she can manage right now.
