    Thank you, thank you, thank you for all your support.

    After this fundraiser closed it was all on to try and make enough for this trip to go ahead. In the end, I was very thankful to also receive more support outside of this page. I am forever grateful for this opportunity. The trip was a huge success. Thank you.

    I was a bit over ambitious to think I’d be able to send you all updates during my trip, but as I sit at home, back in Aotearoa (New Zealand), I am now able to share my USA trip journey with you.

    Over the last 5 days, I’ve been looking over my writing, my recordings, messages and photographs. Wow, it’s A LOT!!! Originally, I was a bit down on myself coming home wishing I had recorded more… but going through everything, I recorded more than I remember! I can’t wait to share it with you.

    Writing is cathartic. Almost wish I could do it full time to get everything out of my head! There may even be a play, TV series, or movie that comes out of all of this. I’m getting excited thinking about it!

    So, this will be the last message through give-a-little. You see, updates through here are made public and I want to keep my journey private for only those who have supported me.

  • Reached over $2000 milestone!

    Wow, thank you. I've been blown away by everyone's generosity. Especially for my birthday. I know some of you are in tight situations too, so it really means so much that you are helping me with this trip. I will never forget your support and I'm super excited to have you "with me" along the way. 💝

    I've been super emotional these last few weeks as there were times I thought, I wouldn't be able to make this journey happen. But even though there is so much more to earn and raise to do this trip... there's a light at the end of the tunnel and it is definitely going ahead!!! 🍾🥂🌈

    I've got my bills covered while I'm away. From personal private donations and my own earnings I was able to buy my international flights. And, for my birthday (from family and my wife), I've been gifted some spending money and a new superlight suitcase. ✈️

    With the $2000 milestone I'm also able to take off $2000 from the total amount I need to raise/earn! There's something about '2s'! This is becoming real folks! Thank you, thank you, thank you. 💝

    The money raised here so far will cover most of my domestic flights and two reveal cars - one in VA. And one for NC.

    So...

    Boston to Michigan to be with maternal siblings all together for first time and meet extended family for first time.

    Michigan to Virginia or Michigan to NYC (itinerary still not 100% confirmed - maternal side either celebrating a birthday or helping my sister).

    Rental Car from VA or NYC to DC where I'll meet my paternal siblings for the first time ever! And a rental car when we get back down to VA to go for a short trip to North Carolina.

    And, flight to Georgia. 💝

    Still need flights from Georgia to Nashville. Possibly a round trip flight Nashville to Florida. And then back up to Boston.

    Thankful to have places to stay in Georgia and Nashville. So, all that's left is accommodation in DC, VA and NC! 🤞🏻💓

  • Feeling thankful! <3 NZ to USA Flight booked.

    Thank you again to those who have donated so far. To be able to see and meet my biological family means the world to us.

    Through some direct personal donations and funds I have earned myself, I was able to purchase a fully refundable ticket to the USA so I have updated the amount I still need to make the trip possible.

    Accommodation, domestic flights and rental cars do still add up though. So I'd still be grateful for any help.
