I was forcibly separated as a new born from my first mother in America. One of my maternal sisters has been searching (on behalf of the family) since 2002. I live in New Zealand and seventeen years later, a search angel found the post my sister put online and connected us over messenger.
Then in 2020, we found my paternal brother and sister online in Germany who were separated from the US family as kids.
We have created close bonds online and we desperately want to meet in person. I'm hoping you can help me make this happen. There is so much lost time to catch up on.
My German siblings are heading to the USA this year to reunite with family and they want me to be with them! Our covid travel restrictions are lifting in New Zealand, so it would mean the world if I could meet them. And I'd like to see my maternal family who I only met briefly in 2019.
Unfortunately my savings are almost gone due to Covid restrictions, major surgery last year, and construction on our house going awry. I don’t normally ask for help but need help to make this reunion happen.
Please help me to make this reunion possible.
There isn’t enough space here to share my full story, but I’m often told I need to write a book. So, I've started. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all your support.
After this fundraiser closed it was all on to try and make enough for this trip to go ahead. In the end, I was very thankful to also receive more support outside of this page. I am forever grateful for this opportunity. The trip was a huge success. Thank you.
I was a bit over ambitious to think I’d be able to send you all updates during my trip, but as I sit at home, back in Aotearoa (New Zealand), I am now able to share my USA trip journey with you.

Over the last 5 days, I’ve been looking over my writing, my recordings, messages and photographs. Wow, it’s A LOT!!! Originally, I was a bit down on myself coming home wishing I had recorded more… but going through everything, I recorded more than I remember! I can’t wait to share it with you.
Writing is cathartic. Almost wish I could do it full time to get everything out of my head! There may even be a play, TV series, or movie that comes out of all of this. I’m getting excited thinking about it!
So, this will be the last message through give-a-little. You see, updates through here are made public and I want to keep my journey private for only those who have supported me.
