Every dollar counts towards supplying someone in need with a home cooked meal made and given with love.
New Plymouth, Taranaki
My 8 year old son Rico decided one day last month that he would like us to cook some meals for the homeless. Over the next two weeks we got to work and were able to supply the local men's shelter with 40 meals. We soon realized how great the need was. It was so well received we decided this is something we would like to continue doing. Rico has a genuine passion and desire to serve the community, but we really need your help in order to do so.
The daily news saw our post on the New Plymouth facebook community page and reached out to do an article (search Rico Leatherby for the full story) we were able to raise $300 from this which we were very grateful to receive. We used this money to buy ingredients to make more meals and some containers to put them in. However more funds are needed to be able to continue to make a difference.
The money donated will be spent on ingredients to make meals for the shelter, and microwavable containers
