Fundraising to Help Rihari get to Denmark for Boxing Tournament which will open doors on a international level
Bay of Plenty
It takes a village – help Rihari get to Denmark!
Rihari’s dream is to become a professional boxer and world champion – a dream that he has been working towards since he was 5 years old. After stepping into the ring for his first fight at 10, he has gone from strength to strength putting his skills to the test and mastering his craft 1% more each day.
We have seen the fruits of his labour – with Rihari winning his first New Zealand title in 2024, and being the current Golden Gloves champion after taking it out for the second year in a row where he also received the most scientific fighter award at the 2025 tournament.
Now, after years of dedication, Rihari has earned an opportunity to compete in the HSK Box Cup being held in Hillerød, Denmark in October 2025. This is a critical step in his boxing career as it will provide a valuable experience, giving him a taste of the international stage.
We are fundraising to help cover the cost of his journey for both Rihari and his coach – including travel, insurance, accommodation, food & tournament registration fees.
When our young people strive for greatness, it is up to us as their village get them there. Every koha, every share, every bit of support helps and doesn’t go unnoticed.
This isn’t just a trip, it’s his launchpad. Let’s back Rihari all the way e te iwi!
