Help Robyn fight her cancer with this results proven miracle non NZ funded drug - this is her LAST available option. Every dollar counts.
Christchurch, Canterbury
For Robyn the NZ funded medications options have run out. Enhurtu - a new medication is working miracles in women with the kind of cancer Robyn has. It puts tumours ‘on hold’ in over 50% of women like Robyn, and for a significant number, tumours shrink. There is real hope for Robyn – but we need help to pay for her treatment.
I'm Brianna Mckeown, partner of Robyn's son, Isaac. Like many others, I believe Robyn deserves more life. Her commitment, energy and sheer life force has kept her alive this long, and she's got more in her. We all see the immense contribution she makes to the lives of others and the spark she brings to those around her. We are not ready to lose Robyn! The initial course of this new treatment is $55K. She will be one of the first Kiwis to have access to Enhurtu. We also want to raise awareness in order to speed up funded availability for more New Zealand women. Please, give what you can – every dollar counts and is more time that we can spend with Robyn.
Journey:
Months after losing her home and business in the Christchurch earthquakes, Robyn underwent a mastectomy, chemo and radiotherapy for breast cancer. Whilst in remission, in 2018 she was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic cancer, told she had only months to live. Robyn has made her cancer battle her ‘full time job’ using traditional and non-traditional medicines to slow its progression.
Robyn has reached the limits of treatment options and without a miracle, she won’t be with us much longer.
Robyn is my partner of 2 years mother, with the most generous and caring soul Robyn has never asked for anything in return. I have learnt so much from her in regards to my degree and In life, we can't lose Robyn <3
Reach 55k to help fund the first 3 rounds of treatment as well as additional living costs. 2 rounds will be done to assess if this line of treatment will work, results are quiet immediate if the medication works. Each treatment costs 22k!
UPDATE - Post infusion 2 21 June 2023
Going into round 2 with a little less energy than round 1, it has been more problematic with other health issues and a short visit to the hospital.
The outcome from recent scans, all is stable and going in the right direction.
I can report that I am 100% walking better, have less leg numbness and significantly less pain.
The tumour on my jaw is small now and does not feel swollen.
All in all, significant progress has been made that I could not of achieve without your help. I am so grateful to everyone who messages me, wishes me well, and has shared, and donated.
It's all the little things that make the difference for me. It's really working.
I am now working towards infusion #3, which was to be this Friday but have not managed to reach the funding mark so I have decided to delay for now, to give myself a little more time.
I am always grateful for any donations and shares of my story.
Infusion #3 will hopefully give it that extra kick in the butt and keep everything shrinking.
My goal is to be "No Evidence of Disease', others have done it, and so can I.
The image I have used today is from a recent article in Women's Day. Check it out :-)
