A passionate young dancer’s dream to represent New Zealand on the world stage—help Rubi get to Arizona and bring home the gold!
Tauranga, Bay Of Plenty
Rubi has just turned 12, and after dancing in front of the TV since she could walk, she’s now living her dream—representing New Zealand on the world stage at the Hip Hop International (HHI) World Championships in Arizona this July!
She’s one of 40 incredibly talented dancers aged 12–17 from SPACE Studios Pro Team in Tauranga, who recently qualified 1st place at HHI New Zealand in Auckland—making them National Champions. Now, they’re ready to take on the world and bring home the gold.
Rubi has been training full-time after school across three different crews for just over a year, and her growth has been nothing short of inspiring. As a family, we've had the privilege to watch her confidence, skill, and joy explode through dance. Finding SPACE Studios was a turning point—finally, a place where Rubi feels supported, safe, and free to shine.
This opportunity is huge—but so are the costs. Flights, accommodation, gear, and competition fees add up fast. Any donation, big or small, would be deeply appreciated and help make sure Rubi gets to Arizona—and back—with memories, growth, and hopefully a gold medal 🥇.
Thank you for helping make her dream come true. ❤️
I'm Amy, Rubi’s big sister, and I’m helping her share her story online to support her incredible journey to the World Hip Hop Championship and make this dream a reality.
All funds raised will help cover essential costs for Rubi’s journey to the World Hip Hop Championship in Arizona, including flights, accommodation, dance outfits and team gear, and competition entry fees. Every dollar brings her closer to the world stage!
