At just 7 years old, Sage Lawrence has already achieved something extraordinary in BMX racing. She was recently crowned National Champion, earning the title NZ #1 in her age group, after also taking the South Island #1 title earlier this year.

She is a proud member of the HB BMX club and attends Twyford School.

These incredible achievements have secured her automatic qualification for the 2026 BMX World Championships in Brisbane, Australia,

Sage has been riding since before she was two. What began as pure fun has grown into a true passion for BMX racing. She trains hard, races with determination, and loves the sport for the friendships, experiences, and community it brings. BMX has already shaped her confidence, resilience, and sportsmanship in a male-dominated sport

Competing at the World Championships will give Sage the chance to:
