Changing the world, one haircut at a time! Giving new lifelong skills to those in critical poverty!
Invercargill, Southland
As a hairdresser for many years I have always aspired to be a part of HairAid.
HairAid is an organisation that takes a team of hairdressers and support crew from Aus and NZ to developing countries to work with women struggling to make an income and teach them basic hairdressing skills and gift them tools to start their own micro businesses. Teaching women 5 basic haircuts and with these new skills and tools they can cut hair in their communities earning a living to support their families.
Some of these women may have even been rescued from prostitution and sex trafficking, others simply have no other skills or means to support their families.
I could not do this without the support of my amazing husband who is also a part of our support team and crew as it really does "Take a village"
